Water

Roughly 70% of its surface is covered with water. All living things on the planet rely on water for survival.
We need to drink lots of water, but unfortunately most of the drinking water available to us is simply not healthy anymore. In some cases, our drinking water is dangerous to our health.

WATER: THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

The quantity and quality of the water we drink has a dramatic impact on our health.

Water is the substance of life. Life cannot exist without water. We must constantly be adding fresh water to our body in order to keep it properly hydrated.

The human body is a water machine‚ designed primarily to run on water and minerals. Every life giving and healing process that happens inside our body… happens with water. In just the last decade medical science has begun to focus more on the tremendous healing ability our body has and how much that ability depends on water. Our body instinctively knows how and strives to sustain youthful longevity‚ and in its every effort… water is the
key.

The human body is made up of over 70% water. Our blood is more than 80%‚ our brain is over 80%‚ and the human liver is an amazing 96% water!
There is no more important thing we put in our body. This ratio must be maintained for good health.

Water is essential for proper digestion, nutrient absorption and chemical reactions. Water is essential for proper circulation in the body, and flexibility of the blood vessels. It lubricates joints, eyeballs, nasal passages, and the intestines Water helps remove toxins (acidic waste) from the body, in particular from the digestive tract. It removes wastes through the kidneys and helps solid waste pass through the intestines.

Water regulates your body’s temperature, imagine a car running without water in the radiator. It cools your body by evaporation from the skin and lungs, and it throws off heat when blood is circulated near the body’s surface. The function of every cell in our body is controlled by electrical signals sent through our nervous system from the brain. Our nerves‚ in reality‚ are an elaborate system of tiny waterways. If the fluid inside our nerves thickens due to dehydration‚ or is contaminated with synthetic chemicals or toxic heavy metals like lead‚ the vital signals can get distorted. Many experts now believe that the distortion of these signals may be the root cause of many degenerative diseases and neurological illnesses like Attention Deficit Disorder‚ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome‚ anxiety‚ depression and even Alzheimer‘s disease.
Considering the major role that water plays in the function of our brain and nervous system‚ its purity is possibly the most basic and essential key to healthy longevity. Proper digestion and nutrient absorption depend on a healthy intake of water. In order for our body to get the nutritional value from our foods and supplements‚ we must consume plenty of good water. Since sugars and carbohydrates are absorbed more rapidly‚ even a slight degree of dehydration can cause us to get the caloric intake without the nutrition from the foods we eat. Our energy level is greatly affected by the amount of water we drink. It has been medically proven that just a 5% drop in body fluids will cause a 25% to 30% loss of energy in the average person… a 15% drop in body fluids causes death! Water is what our liver uses to metabolize fat into usable energy. It is estimated that over 80% of  our population suffers energy loss due to minor dehydration.

An increased intake of healthy water will even help metabolize and shed stored fat…resulting in more energy and less fat. Detoxification is probably the single most important component to long-term health…and one that relies almost exclusively on an adequate intake of good water.
Water is our body‘s only means of flushing out toxins‚ the key to disease prevention. In our industrialized‚ chemical society‚ we are exposed to literally hundreds of harmful substances daily.

Our air‚ our foods and everything we touch… contain traces of harmful chemicals. Unfortunately we can‘t keep toxins from getting into our body‚ but we can help our body to get rid of them by drinking plenty of healthy water. The more water we drink… the more we allow our body to purify itself. Almost all degenerative disease is the result of toxins building up in our body.

The quality of the water we drink is equally as important as the amount. If water already contains chlorine and other chemicals‚ it has less of an ability to carry toxins out of our body. If we consume water that contains traces of synthetic chemicals‚ then we force our liver and kidneys to be the filter… ultimately damaging or destroying two of our most vital organs.
With an abundant intake of clean‚ healthy water we allow our body to perform all the healing processes that it is naturally capable of.

Characteristics of Water

  • Shape: Water is compound that is composed of two hydrogen elements (H) and one oxygen element (O).
  • Basic properties: Colorless, tasteless and odorless
  • Basic functions: Dilutes blood and other body fluids, which prevent clotting. It dissolves solids such as minerals and chemicals for nutrition or expulsion from the body.
  • Composition: Mixture of gas, minerals and pure water.

The Function of Water in our Bodies

  • Next to air, water is the most essential element for life.
  • People cannot live for more than 74 hours (about 3 days) without water.
  • People can survive for as long as 90 days with water but without nutrition
  • Water is essential for keeping health and longevity
  • It keeps the shape of cells and aids metabolism
  • It dissolves and absorbs nutrients, and delivers them into necessary cells
  • It keeps blood alkaline
  • It functions as lubricating solution (joints and organs)
  • Enzymes (hat the body uses to break down food items so we can benefit from them),water, and good bacteria all work together to maintain optimum digestion, nutrientabsorption and health.

Tap Water

How do you feel about drinking 8 glasses of tap water each day? Chlorination makes tap water safe to drink but it can also react with organic compounds inside your body to produce toxic substances, especially in your colon. Small amounts of chlorine are added to our public drinking water supply to kill bacteria and other microorganisms.
This amount of chlorine is small enough for us to drink but it can still kill bacteria and enzymes in our body essential to digestion. During a shower, our bodies absorb this chlorinated water through our skin. We also inhale the mist and steam of this water while we shower. Nearly all tap water supplies contain large amounts of active oxygen (oxidants) and high positive ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) values. Having a high POSITIVE ORP means that tap water can be very oxidizing, or destructive to your body.

Purified Water, Distilled Water, and Reverse Osmosis

Distilled water and water purified by reverse osmosis may not have most pollutants and additives found in tap water, but it also lacks any minerals naturally found earth’s water that are essential to our well being. These processes remove EVERYTHING from the water, including helpful minerals.
Since this water contains no minerals or life whatsoever, it leaches vital minerals and alkaline buffers from our bodies. Distilled water and reverse osmosis water have no energy or vitality at all and can contribute to an acidic state in our bodies.

Bottled Water

You might think that bottled water is healthier than tap water. But in a four-year scientific study, The NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) tested more than 1,000 bottles of 103 brands, a third of them were found to contain contaminants such as arsenic and carcinogens.
Recently, another shocking study showed that over time cancer-causing toxins such as dioxin leach into the water from the plastic bottle. Actually, a lot of the bottled “spring” waters are just filtered tap water put in a plastic bottle. These bottles often remain on store and factory shelves, unopened for months or even years.
Bottled water is essentially dead water. If you choose your water based on the package or the brand, you should know that some 95% of the price you are paying for that bottled water is covering other costs, such as packaging, advertising, distribution costs, rather than the water itself.
Yet, bottled water is so popular and available almost everywhere. As a result, the bottled water industry enjoys annual sales of more than $15 billion worldwide. 15 years ago people wouldn’t spend $3-$5 per day on bottled water; these days they do.

Alkaline Ionized Water

Alkaline ionized water is by far the healthiest water available today. Decades of scientific and medical research have gone into its development. Alkaline ionized water is produced by an in-home machine that first filters and then ionizes tap water. This process splits the water into its alkaline and acidic parts. The alkaline water is used for drinking. It has tremendous hydrating and antioxidant qualities, due in part to its smaller water clusters and abundance of extra electrons created by the ionization process.

The Enagic Technology produces drinking water that has an alkaline pH, without the addition of any chemicals. This is done through electrolysis, a process that separates the acid from alkaline minerals. There are 5 levels of alkalinity to choose from.
When consumed, alkaline water helps to neutralize and flush out acid wastes that have accumulated as the result of an unhealthy diet, stress and pollution.

Wetter Water

The smaller hexagonal molecular structure resulting from electrolysis is what makes Enagic water wetter than tap or bottled water.
These smaller clusters of water molecules are less than half the size of those found in tap water. The smaller cluster size gives the water excellent hydrating properties, high
solubility and good cellular permeability.

Mineral Water

The Enagic Ionizing does not add minerals to your water. This high tech appliance rearranges the healthy minerals that are native to your source water, according to their
electrical charge. This is done through electrolysis. The positive or alkaline minerals are drawn to the negative electrode and the negative or acidic minerals are attracted to the positive electrode within this chamber. This separation is maintained by a special barrier. As a result, alkaline water could contain the essential calcium (Ca+), magnesium (Mg+), sodium (Nan+) and potassium (K+) minerals while the acid water contains acidic compounds, which have not been trapped in the filter.
